The Karnataka State Government Employees Association has released its 2026 calendar and begun distribution to state staff across the state. The calendar, produced by the association, was formally unveiled at the Tahsildar’s office in Shahabad on Thursday by Tahsildar Neelaprabha Babalad in the presence of association officials.

Karnataka government employees calendar 2026 details and distribution

According to Taluk president Shivaputra Karanik, the association, led by state president C.S. Shadakshari, has prepared an attractive 2026 edition and intends to distribute it free of charge to roughly 600,000 government employees in Karnataka. The calendar was released on behalf of the association and carries information intended to raise awareness about state schemes, duties and responsibilities of government staff.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah officially released the calendar, which the association says is designed not merely to mark dates but to act as a practical reference for employees. It includes summaries of key government schemes, reminders about statutory responsibilities and guidance on the public-facing role of civil servants.

Tahsildar Neelaprabha Babalad said the calendar aims to foster a more informed workforce. “This calendar does more than list dates; it provides concise information about government schemes and the duties and responsibilities of staff,” she said. She added that the association has earned recognition for being the first organisation in the country to distribute free calendars to government employees on such a large scale.

The launch event at the Tahsildar office was attended by several local revenue department officials and staff. Present were Grade-2 Tahsildar Gururaj Sangavi and colleagues Ravikumar Muttagikar, Annarao, Gaffar, Munir, Shakuntala Sakre, Kalavati, Vithabai, Sulochana Jadhav, Sushil, Shashikant, Narasappa, Naseer, Habib, Yousuf Nakedar and Mohammad Khadri, among others. Their attendance reflected the association’s engagement with revenue department personnel across the taluk.

Members of the association emphasised that the calendar’s content has been prepared to support awareness and accountability among public servants. It highlights government initiatives intended to benefit citizens, while also outlining expectations for civil servants in implementing those initiatives.

Distribution will take place in phases, with the calendar handed out at offices and through departmental channels. The association has urged employees to make practical use of the information it contains, particularly those working in direct service delivery roles where awareness of schemes and procedures can affect citizen outcomes.

Association leaders said the initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen communication between the state administration and its workforce. By equipping staff with consolidated, easy-to-use information, they aim to improve implementation of government plans and increase transparency in daily operations.

The calendar launch in Shahabad highlights a local effort with state-wide reach, combining a traditional printed resource with a clear public service purpose. Officials indicated that this will be an annual endeavour with updates tailored to new policies and programme changes each year.
