OPPO will bring its Reno 15 series to the Indian market on 8 January, unveiling three models that push the company’s camera and design credentials. The lineup comprises the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini. OPPO has already released extensive camera and design details ahead of the launch.
OPPO Reno 15 launch India
The two higher-end models, Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini, will feature a 200MP primary camera alongside a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens with up to 3.5x zoom. The standard Reno 15 will offer a 50MP main camera supported by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto lens. OPPO says both Pro models will include optical image stabilisation on the main and telephoto cameras and will support 4K HDR video at up to 60 frames per second across all lenses.
Photography software receives a significant upgrade. The series debuts AI Editor 3.0 with tools such as AI Portrait Glow and AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo. A new Pop-Out feature allows users to combine multiple photos or motion shots to create images where subjects appear to extend beyond the frame. Video Editing 2.0 brings on-device trimming, speed controls, transitions and beat-based edits, with support for high-frame-rate HDR videos and motion photos.
Design and durability are also central to the Reno 15 proposition. OPPO’s HoloFusion technology produces a three-dimensional effect on a single-piece glass back, with a square-ring composition around the camera module creating a soft halo when light hits it. The devices will carry OPPO’s Armour Body and are rated IP66, IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance. The company has also highlighted a platinum-coated USB port for improved corrosion resistance.
Display and battery choices vary across the range. The Reno 15 is said to sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. The Reno 15 Pro ups the size to a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a claimed peak brightness of 3,600 nits and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Pro Mini uses a 6.32-inch AMOLED screen and the same high brightness figures. Battery capacities are substantial: the Reno 15 is listed with a 6,200mAh unit while the Pro models are said to carry 6,500mAh batteries with 80W wired fast charging.
Under the bonnet, OPPO will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 across the series, with reports that the Pro Mini may also be offered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 option in some markets. The phones run ColorOS 16 based on Android and will ship in a range of finishes including Glacier White, Twilight Blue, Aurora Blue, Liquid Gold and Cocoa Brown.
With competitive camera hardware, striking design touches and large batteries, the Reno 15 family aims to strengthen OPPO’s position in India’s premium and upper mid-range segments. The January launch will clarify pricing and availability across Indian states and retail channels. For consumers focused on photography and battery life, the series promises notable upgrades compared with the previous Reno generation.
