Pastor Adeboye Predicts Brighter 2026 for Nigeria with Economic Recovery and Return Migration

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has forecast that 2026 will outstrip 2025 in impact, opportunities and testimonies. Speaking at the church’s annual crossover service, Adeboye said the spiritual momentum that began in 2024 will continue into 2026 with greater intensity, promising more breakthroughs and fewer failures.

Nigeria 2026 outlook and key predictions

Pastor Adeboye delivered a range of predictions that touched both personal testimony and national prospects. He said many people will recount delayed but significant testimonies, with several beginning their accounts with the phrase, “God remembered me at last.” On Nigeria specifically, he disclosed that the prophecy he had received comes in two parts, and that he had permission to share only the first part at this time.

“I am not sure I am allowed to share the second part yet. I will pray more about it, and if God gives permission, I will share,” he said. The portion he did release offers hopeful signs for the country, signalling improvement in basic needs and business stability.

Among the notable points, Adeboye predicted a reduction in hunger across Nigeria and an uptick in the fortunes of small and medium-sized enterprises. He suggested that SMEs would begin to experience growth and greater stability, a development that would support jobs and local economies.

An unexpected but significant element of the forecast was the possibility of reverse migration. The pastor indicated that some Nigerians who left the country in search of better opportunities, a trend often called “Japa,” could start to return. Such a reversal would have clear implications for skills transfer, investment and consumer demand.

On global affairs, Adeboye said the likelihood of a major international war in 2026 is lower than it was for 2025, implying a comparatively calmer geopolitical climate next year. He also addressed weather patterns, noting that 2026 should resemble 2025 overall, but warning that a few major hurricanes may occur.

The RCCG leader indicated that some revelations concerning the church would be handled discreetly through leadership channels. “As far as RCCG is concerned,” he said, “I will tell the pastors, who will tell the house fellowship leaders, and they will tell you because what He is saying to you, I don’t want anybody else to know.”

Analysts and observers will watch closely to see whether the early signs Adeboye described translate into measurable economic gains, such as lower food insecurity and stronger SME performance. If those predictions hold, the changes could influence household incomes and local market dynamics across Nigeria.

For now, the forecast offers a cautiously optimistic note as congregants and citizens prepare for a year the pastor believes will bring more visible testimonies, expanded opportunities and a calmer international environment compared with the preceding year.

Key Takeaways:

  • Pastor Adeboye forecasts a stronger year in 2026 with more opportunities and fewer setbacks.
  • Nigeria 2026 outlook points to reduced hunger, SME growth and a possible reverse migration of skilled nationals.
  • The RCCG leader says the risk of a major global war in 2026 is lower than in 2025.
  • Weather patterns expected to mirror 2025 though a few major hurricanes are possible.
