Key Takeaways:

  • Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Code Vein II ahead of its 30 January release.
  • Code Vein II will launch on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series with Russian localisation.
  • The story follows a hunter rescued by an immortal named Lou who can travel through time.
  • The trailer sheds light on the game’s themes of memory, allies and a looming catastrophe.

Bandai Namco has released a fresh trailer for Code Vein II as the studio counts down to the title’s scheduled launch on 30 January. The announcement confirms that the sequel will arrive on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series with full Russian localisation, signalling a clear focus on international audiences including players in Russia.

Code Vein II release details

The trailer offers a concise glimpse of the sequel’s premise and tone. Code Vein II continues the franchise’s dark, action-driven approach while expanding its narrative scope. Players take the role of a hunter who, after a chance encounter, is saved by an immortal woman named Lou. The two characters share a mysterious bond tied to the hunter’s heart.

Lou possesses an ability to travel through time. Following their meeting, the hunter decides to journey into the past to recruit allies, unravel the causes behind the world’s collapse and prevent an impending catastrophe. Bandai Namco’s teaser focuses on atmosphere and character, emphasising exploration, combat and the stakes that drive the central quest.

Code Vein II’s release on three major platforms, combined with the inclusion of a Russian localisation, will make the game accessible to a broad audience. The Steam listing confirms PC players will be able to purchase and download the title at launch. Console users on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will receive native next-generation versions, promising improved performance and visual fidelity compared with previous-generation hardware.

The decision to localise Code Vein II into Russian underlines the importance of the Russian market for international publishers. Localisation extends beyond translated text and voice work; it involves adapting cultural references and user interfaces so that the game reads naturally to local players. For Bandai Namco, this step helps to build goodwill and expand reach among Russian-speaking gamers.

From a narrative point of view, the sequel appears to build on the franchise’s established motifs while introducing time travel as a central mechanic. The trailer hints at encounters with both allies and hostile transformed beings, a hallmark of the series’ tense combat design. Players can expect a blend of story-driven exploration and fast-paced battles as they work to piece together the events surrounding the Moon Rapachis and the fall of the immortals.

With roughly a month remaining before release, Bandai Namco is likely to continue rolling out material to maintain momentum. Potential future reveals could cover gameplay systems, character progression, multiplayer features or further details on the role of Lou and the hunter’s quest. For now, the trailer provides enough narrative and visual cues to confirm the sequel’s direction and secure interest from fans of the original.

Code Vein II is scheduled for release on 30 January for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series with Russian localisation. Interested players can watch the trailer and prepare for the launch as Bandai Namco readies additional information in the coming weeks.
