Uttar Pradesh will mark its annual state day with a three-day programme running from 24 to 26 January, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Thursday. The events will be held at the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, the state government said, and are scheduled to coincide with the national Republic Day period to attract wider public participation and attention.

Uttar Pradesh Day 2026

The state administration has planned a combination of official ceremonies and cultural programmes at the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, a venue promoted by the government as a national inspiration site. While officials have not released a minute-by-minute schedule, they indicated the programme will include commemorative events, performances by local artists and presentations showcasing recent development initiatives across districts.

Mr Yogi’s announcement underlines the government’s intent to use the Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 observance to highlight policy achievements in infrastructure, health and education. State departments are expected to display exhibitions and reports that outline progress under flagship schemes, and there will be opportunities for citizens and delegations from other states to engage with officials and beneficiaries of various projects.

Security and logistics for the three-day event will be co-ordinated between state and local authorities to ensure smooth movement of attendees and dignitaries. Public transport and access arrangements are likely to be amplified around the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal during the period, and the administration has urged residents to follow official advisories.

Organisers have also highlighted the cultural dimension of the observance. Regional art forms, music and folk performances are expected to form a visible part of the programme, offering both residents and visitors a chance to experience the state’s cultural diversity. Officials said such activities aim to foster civic pride and stimulate local tourism at a time when national attention is high.

In announcing the dates, the chief minister framed the three-day celebration as a forum to honour the state’s history while projecting its future priorities. He encouraged people from across Uttar Pradesh to attend or follow events organised at the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, noting that the period around Republic Day provides a fitting backdrop for collective reflection and celebration.

State ministries will release further details on specific events, registration procedures for attendees and any measures related to accessibility and safety in the days ahead. Media teams have been invited to cover the principal ceremonies, and officials said live updates will be made available through government channels and local news outlets.

As Uttar Pradesh prepares for the three-day observance, the initiative is likely to draw interest from civil society groups, cultural organisations and business representatives who view such platforms as opportunities to present partnerships and projects that align with the state’s development agenda. The final programme for Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 is expected to balance ceremonial observance with practical showcases of governance outcomes.
