The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has published a comprehensive recruitment notification covering 171 vacancies across 15 subject areas and multiple departments. The gazette was issued on 31 December 2025 and the online application window closes on 4 February 2026. Candidates are advised to read the full notifications and submit applications through the official employment portal.

Kerala PSC recruitment 2026 key details

The recruitment drive includes direct appointments and transfers through cadre change for a wide range of posts. Notable vacancies listed in the notification include higher secondary school teachers (HSS teachers) in several subjects, assistant engineers for water authorities and public works, typist positions for various corporations and boards, and a Women Fire and Rescue Officer post in the Fire and Rescue Service.

Several medical education posts are also open, including assistant professors in subspecialties such as neonatology, endocrinology, cardiothoracic surgery and medical oncology, along with positions in pharmacy and nursing. Technical and support roles range from draftspersons, laboratory technicians and midwives to operators, welders and power plant assistants.

Who can apply and reservation arrangements

The notification covers general state-level recruitment as well as district-level vacancies. Special recruitment provisions have been announced for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and other reserved communities. The release includes NCA (Non Creamy Layer/Community Allocation) appointments for specific communities in several medical and technical posts. Applicants should carefully check the category-wise eligibility, educational qualifications and experience requirements printed in the full notifications.

Many roles are open for direct recruitment, while others are to be filled by transfer or through special categories such as ex-servicemen and community-specific reservations. The notification explicitly lists positions designated for special recruitment at both state and district levels.

Application process and deadlines

Prospective applicants must consult the full advertisement for post-wise qualifications, age limits and application fees. The official gazette date is 31 December 2025 and the deadline for submitting online applications is 4 February 2026. The Kerala PSC’s employment portal provides downloadable notification documents and instructions on how to apply. Candidates should retain proof of submission and monitor the portal for updates such as admit cards and exam schedules.

The recruitment drive aims to fill roles across education, health, technical services, public works and utility authorities, offering opportunities from entry-level positions to specialist medical and engineering posts. With provisions for special recruitment and reserved community appointments, the notification seeks to balance merit-based selection with statutory social equity measures.

Jobseekers interested in applying should verify all eligibility details and prepare required documents in advance. Given the diversity of posts and reservation categories, applicants are strongly recommended to read the specific notification for their chosen vacancy before submitting an application.

For official notifications and application submission, visit the Kerala PSC employment portal and the Thozhilveedhi job site referenced in the gazette notice.
