UFVJM Publishes Call for Remaining Places Across Janaúba and Unaí

The Universidade dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (UFVJM) has announced a selection to fill 999 remaining places for full-time undergraduate study in the cities of Janaúba and Unaí. The university intends to allocate places that became available through transfers, formal withdrawals and dismissals.

Prospective students may apply online between 6 and 19 January 2026. The application fee is R$22.13. Selection will be based on candidates’ scores in the National High School Examination (ENEM), with applicants able to use results from any one of the ten most recent editions, according to the option they choose at registration.

UFVJM has scheduled classes to begin on 2 March 2026 for the institution’s on-campus courses. The call prioritises transparency and rapid filling of seats ahead of the academic year.

The vacancies are distributed between the Janaúba and Unaí campuses. Key allocations include:

• Janaúba campus: Science and Technology (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 269 places; Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 20 places; Applied Physics/Engineering Physics (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 111 places; Materials Engineering (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 113 places; Mining Engineering (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 100 places.
• Unaí campus: Agronomy (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 30 places; Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 178 places; Veterinary Medicine (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 10 places; Animal Science/Zootecnia (Bachelor’s, full-time) — 168 places.

Applicants should consult the full public notice for any programme-specific details, prerequisites and quotas. The veterinary medicine allocation is limited and candidates should verify any additional conditions that apply.

How to apply and important dates

Applications must be submitted online via the university’s designated portal between 6 and 19 January 2026. Candidates will declare which ENEM edition they wish to use when completing their application. The modest fee of R$22.13 must be paid to validate registration.

Successful applicants should prepare to begin classes on 2 March 2026, in line with the academic calendar for in-person courses. UFVJM advises candidates to create or update their accounts on the institutional platform ahead of the opening date to avoid delays.
